Just a Little Update.

As you've probably noticed, this blog's posts have dwindled and have consisted of only book reviews since Christmas. Not what I promised, was it?

I'm here today to talk about some things that I've been contemplating—and putting off, if we're going for honesty—for awhile. Now it's official, though. The decision is made, I'm happy with it, and I'm here to make the announcement.

Chosen Vessels is closing.

Okay, so that sounds much worse/drastic than this is actually going to be, but the gist of it is true. Sometime in March, I'll cease to update this blog. It won't be disappearing entirely, but I won't be posting here anymore.

As I strive to strengthen the content of my main blog and create a better online author presence, I've come to realize that it's too confusing—not to mention time-consuming—to keep up with two blogs. Instead, I'll be posting something encouraging and/or something God has been showing me 2-4 weekends a month on my other blog.

Since I don't have nearly the amount of free time that I used to, I won't be reviewing nearly as many books either. When I do review books on occasion—I have quite a few to catch up on and I'm still in a few review programs—those will be posted on Stories by Firefly as well.

I've loved my time in this little corner of the world where, many times, I've poured my heart out and been so encouraged by y'all's support and comment conversations. It's my prayer that God has used my scribbles here to encourage someone out there as well. And I so appreciate y'all's support. <3

Some things I've written and shared here may eventually appear on my other blog, if it's something that I'm feeling in my heart again. (Or, let's be honest, if the week doesn't allow the time to write up something else. xD)

The Sisters in Christ series, however, will be discontinued after March. I had lots of fun with that even though they weren't among by best posts, just getting to know other gals in the blogging community was a blast. But I feel like God is leading me into a different season, a season of growth.

So yes, if you want to keep up with me and continue reading, I'd love to have you over at Stories by Firefly and on my author newsletter. Or feel free to email me if you just want to chat!

thanks for sticking around for nearly 4 years, lovelies. <3
