// From My Heart //

  'Ello readers! :) Remember what I said about being better to post here? Yeah, well, it didn't happen in the past couple weeks, did it? That's going to change, because the first Sisters in Christ chat is going up soon. ^_^

  How are you on this blessed Good Friday? Today is the day we remember the sacrifice Jesus made, the suffering He went through, to pay the ultimate price so we could be freed from the enslaving bondage of our sins. Isn't that something worthy of celebration?! :) I'm hopefully going to have an Easter poem posted here on Sunday. If that doesn't work out, there will still be some sort of Easter post. :-)

  Now...on with this post!!! :D

  This are somethings that have been on my heart a lot the last week and I've decided to share this with y'all. I've throught about it, I've prayed about it, and now I'm writing out my thoughts in this post. (And you all are getting stuck reading it. LOL. xD)

  A twenty-eight year-old policeman and decorated Marine, veteran of the Iraq war, with a wife, two sons, and a baby on the way was shot and killed last Friday. (More here.)

  Mom and I were talking about this horrible tragedy the other day. He had been to Iraq, came home, and gets killed here at home where he's supposed to be safe? It just doesn't seem right.
  On a side note, when he was shot, his fellow lawmen stopped to see what they could do for him instead of pursuing the man who shot him. That says so much for them.

  Last Sunday, someone at church asked prayer for a friend of their's who's son had committed suicide the day before.

  It isn't like this was the first suicide I'd heard of, but I've spent a lot of time thinking about it. How could you do that? How could you purposely take your own life? God is the Giver and Taker of life. It's up to Him as to the time we enter this world and when we leave it. That's not up to us. We're mere humans. How can people think they're entitled to make such a decision?

  I saw a post on someone's blog that said (this wasn't the focus of the post, but it was there) 'I'm a Christian, but I don't necessarily believe in the Bible's idea of God'. Or something of that sort.

  I've spent a lot of time in thought and prayer over this. It burdens me that there are so many confused and unreached people in the world. It's so saddening that there are still so many people out there who don't know the depths of Christ's love. Don't realize that His way is the only way. My prayer is that someone could come to know Christ through the example I set. And if it's only one soul, then it's all worth it. *smiles* <3

So that's my ramblings for today. :P I hope you understood what I was trying to say. :)

Thanks for reading, everyone! Have a blessed Easter celebrating Jesus' resurrection!!! :)
~ Faith ~

  "And entering into the sepulchre, they saw a young man sitting on the right side, clothed in a long white garment; and they were affrighted. And he saith unto them, Be not affrighted: Ye seek Jesus of Nazareth, which was crucified: he is risen; he is not here: behold the place where they laid him.”

    1. *comes across this comment by accident* I don't know how I missed replying, Rebekah! So sorry!
      It's very sad. Often I feel like I should be doing more to spread His love. I can't imagine how it hurts our Savior.
      Thanks for reading, Rebekah. <3
