Hey everyone! I hope you all have a blessed Fourth of July!! :D  Today as millions of Americans attend cookouts and watch fireworks, what are we ultimately celebrating?  Freedom. Independence. Love of country. Pride of being Americans. All good things, right?  But let's remember that we're celebrating our freedom from Great Britain's rule, many years ago. We aren't independent. We are and always will be dependent on God.  “Abide in me, and I in you. As the branch cannot bear fruit of itself, except it abide in the vine; no more can ye, except ye abide in me . Hey guys! Book review time. :) I started this book with Bethany R.'s read-along in April, but didn't get around to finishing it until this month. ;)  ~ Book Description  Bilbo Baggins is a hobbit who enjoys a comfortable, unambitious life, rarely traveling any farther than his pantry or cellar. But his contentment is disturbed when the wizard Gandalf and a company of dwarves arrive on his doorstep one day to whisk him away on an adventure. They have launched a plot to raid the treasure hoard guarded by Smaug the Magnificent, a large and very dangerous dragon.
